A compressor compresses atmospheric air. The air accumulates water vapor, the higher the temperature and volume the greater will be the amount of water accumulated.

On the contrary, when air is compressed, it has a smaller capacity to accumulate water. When this capacity is exhausted, the water contained in the air falls as condensate.

As an example, a 30 kW compressor releases approximately 20 liters of water into the compressed air line at a relative humidity of 60% and an ambient temperature of 20 ° C. It is therefore important to monitor the quality of the air treatment in the installation.
